E-mail a Volunteer Application
Volunteer opportunities abound at Lutheran Care
and can be as varied as your time will allow: an hour or two a month
or as frequently as you like. The result is that you
will have made a
positive difference in the lives of our residents in so many
ways:
- Assist
with Recreation Therapy programs: help transport
residents in wheelchairs to social and entertainment
programs (and share in the fun).
- Assist on resident outings (luncheons, shopping
trips, special events).
- Serve on a
Committee or our
Boards of Directors.
- Be a friendly visitor to a resident: share a hobby,
a craft, write letters, read a book.
- Help to beautify our campus by
sharing your
gardening skills.
- Have a church team of 2 to 4
volunteers assist with bingo games. Home baked cookies provided by your team
are always greatly appreciated.
- Assist in transporting residents (push wheelchairs) to physical therapy during the week
and offer encouragement to residents in rehabilitation.
- Assist by driving the facility's vehicles during outings.
- Be a clerk in our Corner Store (gift shop). Shifts are Mondays through Fridays from 11 – 1 P.M. or 1 - 3 P.M.
Substitutes are also needed for the store as are
knitted, crocheted and other handmade items to be
offered for sale.
- Be an office assistant in different departments throughout the facility.
- A variety of youth volunteer opportunities
are available, as well.
Won't you share
your talent and time with these special people? For
